Chus Martinez will develop her perspective on the significance of art societies (Kunstvereine) in an international context and a contemporary understanding of art practice. |

OG, 10369 Berlin Guest critique, 3 pm Gertrud Sandqvist, Professor and dean at Malmö Art Academy, Lund University "Spaces of art and knowledge production". Malmö Art Academy runs a doctorate programme for artists as well as a degree course in Critical Studies. Gertrud Sandqvist will analyse current structures of artistic education and knowledge production and expand on them to examine how they relate to artistic research. Discursive Picnic, 5 pm The Discursive Picnic is an improvised event, ready to be modified and changed. It works as a potluck, where everybody is both guest and host at the same time. The discursive picnic will be organised by UNWETTER, an international group of artists, curators and theoreticians. www.un-wetter.net Lecture, 7 pm Iris Dressler/Hans D. Christ, directors of Württ. Kunstverein, Stuttgart "Ways of Working. Workshop as a form of artistic strategy". Iris Dressler and Hans C. Christ have set up an art society programme, which responds to different formats of artistic production. In their lecture they will examine and reflect on process-based artistic production. |
