WORKSHOP: NOVEMBER 12th TO 18th 2007

The idea is to open up a temporary space to discuss and perform appropriate forms of education and knowledge, as well as artistic and theoretical working models. According to Derrida's 'L'université sans condition' (The University Without Condition) an academy is a utopian mental state rather than a place or building.

How to transfer this mental state into a situation of practice, performance, language or sound in which we can learn from each other? How to create a dialogue with different educational situations – what are the differences? How to exchange knowledge and how to perform such an exchange?

How to learn, and if so what and from whom? How to work in a group? How to be part of the knowledge production within a heterogenic field? How to work as an artist? What are your perspectives?

During the day CROSSKICK ACADEMY will be the guests of KUNSTrePUBLIK e.V. and KUNSTHALLE BERLIN-LICHTENBERG. Participation in the workshop will be by invitation.

In the evenings, the programme will be open and held at various institutions where we will be hosting guests and lectures related to our workshops. The lectures are public and entrance is free.
